TXPQ What?
Via Peter : 27 Oct 07 : community, textpattern, txp
As TXP Magazine is in a coma and may not recover, I got to thinking about it and offered my services to Alexandra. I had some ideas and thought the challenge of getting two heads to agree on magazine articles might be stimulating for both of us, especially as Alex seems to have an opposite way of doing things to me;-) But I've chickened out because I think too many sparks might fly and Alex probably has other plans anyway. Has anyone seen her by the way? I got a message about 3 weeks ago but am now inclined to believe it was a spirit message from beyond the TXP realm. Has anyone else sensed any strange vibrations from the other side?
Finger On The Pulse
I see TXPQ as providing extra or contrasting features to TXP Magazine. I don't see TXPQ as its rival. Competition with something dead is pointless anyway ;-) (unless you're a necrophiliac I suppose). When (if?) txpmag is resurrected, any rivalry on my part will be tongue in cheek and not to get one up or anything like that. Two zines equals twice the enjoyment - just so long as their authors have their fingers on the pulse, so to speak, and if there is a pulse. And as I have somehow got to talking about pulses, FYI my pulse is irregular - I suffer from paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (I love saying that ;) - so my offerings may also be irregular and behind the times but I hope to do something about that...
Cool
You will be relieved to know that I will not be writing all the TXPQ articles myself - at least I hope not! I am not representative of the TXP majority and am possibly even more out of touch than I imagine. So make TXPQ yours by joining in and pushing it in the direction you want it. My initial plan is for TXPQ to answer questions such as:
- What makes Textpattern so cool?
- Who makes TXP so cool?
- Where are the coolest TXP-powered sites?
- Who are the coolest TXP designers?
- Why is hot cool? Why is wicked cool? Why is bad good etc
Lead The Way!
So how do you feel about TXPQ? I look forward to your energy, input and comments because I know you have a wonderful power bursting to come forth and would love to spread some of your joy to the TXP community! Take the stage! Thank you.
